MESSAGE FROM CO-CHAIRS AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and our dedicated staff and volunteers, we thank you for your support. It is because of you—our friends, partners, and supporters—that thousands of immigrant and low-income residents are being empowered and protected in our community.  As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we invite you to learn more about our history and our future trajectory by reading this year’s Annual Report.

As the challenges for many immigrant families grew in 2017, so too has the impact of the Community Resource Center (CRC).  Together with our strategic partners and supporters, we responded directly to our clients’ needs by ramping up vital case management and legal services for families at risk.  We conducted “Know Your Rights” training, community forums, and helped advocate for local legislation that protects the rights of immigrants, regardless of their immigration status.

We accomplished all of this while we continued to deliver our core educational and workforce development programs. We strengthened our partnerships and trust with community advocates and allies to ensure our clients continue to receive high quality services.

Thank you for your support and for standing with us to protect and empower immigrant families in Westchester County.
