One of CRC's primary goals is to help families in need attain the skills and self-confidence to secure more work opportunities and a living wage. The Construyendo Nuestro Futuro (Building Our Future) suite of programs is our comprehensive workforce development initiative. We aim to reduce barriers to initial and/or continuous employment opportunities and to help obtain work. This initiative works hand-in-hand with the goals of our on-site Worker Center. Further we provide direct access to computer technology to enable individuals to seek work opportunities online.

Vocational Training
Community Resource Center is a NYC Department of Buildings Course Provider and approved to provide courses.
Site Safety Training (SST) Prescribed Courses
• 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness: Abusing illicit drugs or alcohol can have devasting effects on a person's health — especially among those with addiction. Working under the influence is particularly dangerous in the construction industry because it increases the risk of Focus Four hazards and potentially fatal accidents involving heavy equipment.
• 4-Hour Fall Prevention: In the construction business, falls are a major cause of severe injuries and fatalities. Due of the frequency of these incidents, both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) issue safety guidelines to aid in the protection of construction workers.
Our courses are currently offered in Spanish. To sign up for our SST Courses (TBA), please contact Marco Bohorquez at 914-835-1512 or email at mbohorquez@crcny.org.
