When good people get together to do good things, then good things happen.
We rely on volunteers to do just about everything at CRC. In addition to being a great way to give back to those in need, volunteering is a terrific opportunity for team building, socializing and staying active. Without YOUR help, we simply could not help those in need throughout the Westchester community.
We are grateful for our committed volunteers!
Our volunteers are important members of our team. We have various opportunities for members of our community to find meaningful ways of interacting with our new neighbors. We find that our volunteers continue to work with us over the years because of the joy they get out of having such an impact on people's lives. We could not offer such a variety of programs without the support of our valuable volunteers. A big gracias to our dedicated helpers!
Be an ESL Teacher
Having recently introduced a new and dynamic Intercambio curriculum which includes placement tests, textbooks, workbooks, and homework, we find that students benefit from being taught by committed volunteers with a teaching background. Volunteers must:
- Provide an updated resume
- Commit to teaching at least once per week (morning or evening)
Youth Intern and Volunteer Opportunities
CRC accepts interns on a rolling basis. Interns should preferably be Spanish-speaking/bilingual, provide an updated resume, and express a strong interest/experience in immigrant and social justice issues. We accept volunteers on an as needed basis.
