High School-Aged Programs
Civics Education Youth Leadership
10-week after school leadership program open to youth ages 14-17. Every week, participants explore social justice issues impacting communities of color. Over the years, our leaders have explored racial injustices, discrimination, immigrant rights, and socioeconomic disparities impacting homeless individuals and families with hospitalized children. Now more than ever, our Creative.Inspirational.Leaders are critically thinking about our environment, climate change, and what we are doing as a community to impact environmental justice.
Through facilitated dialogue, hands-on activities, guest speakers and more, participants look critically at our global world through the lenses of media literacy, race and privilege to emerge with a deeper connection to themselves and tools for impacting real change in their communities. Check out Public Service Announcements and short films our youth leaders have created!
In partnership with Rossmery Gomez, Youth International Speaker and Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute .
We thank Con Edison for supporting our youth development work.
